It was relatively empty when we went there. Ordered the family platter for 4 (there was 5 of us) and ended up having 3 boxes of leftovers! Lots of meat and rice in the platter and I loved the variety of things we could try with the platter. Also liked the vegetarian combination and liked that we could try a little bit of everything. Seating area is really nice and aesthetic if that’s your vibe too.

The restaurant is clean and well maintained. It’s a modern, and to a degree fancy set up. The service was great. The servers tended to me right away and then brought complimentary appetizers right after. Lentil soup and fresh warm pita type of bread with the best garlic sauce, I’ve ever had. I had the lamb shawarma with vegetables. The food was hot and fresh. The portions are generous, and the price is right!
This place deserves high marks for being the only place around that uses only avocado and olive oil in their food. They have grass fed lamb and beef, wild salmon, and antibiotic gmo free chicken. Incredible! More places should do that!! High quality food, friendly staff; they took great care of our table. Fresh piping hot bread showed up at the table with garlic sauce that tastes a bit different from what we are used to bc everywhere else makes it with unhealthy oils. We were very pleased! We ordered the vegetarian platter with nice soft falafel and the aged filet mignon kabob, which was very tender and cooked perfectly, had no funky aged taste to it at all; both dishes were excellent. The atmosphere is very ritzy and clean. It smelled quite strong of fabulouso or some kind of air freshener by the front entrance but thankfully didn’t smell strong like that in the dining room which can not only disrupt the senses during tasting and eating but can also really affect some people who have chemical fragrance sensitivities. Overall, fantastic experience, highly recommend, we will be back!
Their food is incredibly good, far exceeding any expectations I may have had previously. Service was fast and my waitress was extremely polite- nor did I feel judged for ordering so much food. 10/10 recommend!
Sahara Mediterranean Grill is honestly one of those places you end up coming back to without even thinking about it. The food just hits every time. The chicken is always cooked perfectly, the flavors are clean and fresh, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Their bowls and wraps are packed with flavor and never feel heavy. Service is quick, everyone is friendly, and the place is always well kept. It’s become one of my go to spots because I know the meal is going to be good every single visit.

Visited for the second time and it just keeps getting better! We started with the lentil soup, of which my wife is not usually a fan but we shared it and she said it was the best lentil soup she has ever had. I agree. We each had a lunch special and both were outstandingly delicious! The service was fabulous as well. Cannot recommend this place enough! Once you try it once I guarantee you will be back again and again.
Best lentil soup around! The chicken Mediterranean taco is incredible! Have to get one every time. First time trying the shawarma quesadilla and…..WOW! Great portion size, will definitely order again! Our server was Alexa and was wonderful. Great food + great service = highly recommend!
One of the cleanest, and tastiest Mediterranean restaurants in Macomb! I've been a customer for maybe 15 years, maybe more! Love their grilled chicken, potato curry, garlic sauce and the sumac salad dressing. I vowed to go to restaurants that use healthy oils, and this place uses tallow, and olive oil. So I will always be a happy customer. You get what you pay for!

Tried this place for the first time since learning that they use beef Tallow and avocado oil and olive oil instead of seed oils (which are horrible for you). We had the combo for two people that was on special and it was absolutely fabulous! Included your choice of soup or salad and we had the house salad and substituted their sumac vinaigrette dressing instead of the house-made Ranch it normally is served with. We were impressed from the moment the salads arrived. When the platter arrived it was definitely enough for four people or more and everything on it was delicious! They also had a special where certain bottles of wine were only $20 so for just over $60 we had two amazing dinners, a full bottle of wine and carried out leftovers consisting of enough for four lunches for the next day. Cannot forget to mention that our server, Faye, was an absolute delight! She was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and this business is lucky to have such a wonderful employee. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend! *Note to owner,: The ambiance would be improved if you dim the lights at dinner time to provide a little bit more of an evening atmosphere feel because with the light so bright it feels a little daytime diner-ish. Also the music is too loud.
There is no place better than Sahara on hall road. Faye is the best server I've had. She always goes out of her way to make our visit as best as possible. Highly recommend the filet beef kabobs. Super tender and juicy.

First time coming here with my family. The atmosphere is very nice and clean. The staff is wonderful! Our waiter Karem was very friendly and accommodating. They provide you with a bread basket and garlic. I ordered the chicken kabob with rice and vegetables. Also, it comes with a house salad. The food was delicious! Seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. Will definitely come here again. Highly recommended!
By far the best middle eastern food I’ve had in a very long time. Everything was delicious. I’ve ordered the same dish (beef cream chop) from Ishtar and got a plate less than half this size for the same price. I’m glad the portions are still reasonable even with inflation.
